All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was in Daily’s Place for Double or Nothing, their first pay-per-view in over a year with a full capacity crowd. To have the fans back is amazing for AEW and they wanted to deliver on the grand stage. Buy-In NWA Women’s Championship Match: Serena Deeb def. Riho to retain

The buy-in for Double or Nothing was a very exciting NWA Women’s championship match with Serena Deeb defending against Riho. For a pre-show match, these two competitors got an amazing pop from the full capacity crowd at Daily’s Place.
The reaction to Riho’s music hitting would make any wrestling fan happy after over a year in this pandemic. The match itself was outstanding, they picked two perfect performers to make people want to buy a PPV.
Both women left it all out there and the crowd loved every second of it, Deeb specifically showed why she is one of the most underrated performers in AEW. Deeb finished Riho off by locking in the arm-trapped single-leg crab and bashing her knee into the mat until she tapped. The crowd was giving a standing ovation for the pre-show, that says a lot!
‘Hangman’ Adam Page def. Brian Cage

The opening match of the main show was ‘Hangman’ Adam Page going up against Brian Cage in a rematch. On this past week's Dynamite Cage said that he wanted to do this match alone without any help from Team Taz.
The match was amazing and Cage was really shining, however as both men looked to be burning out Team Taz made their way to ringside against Cage’s orders. Team Taz ended up distracting Cage and Page was able to hit the Buckshot Lariat to steal the win.
Page then celebrated with the full crowd the best way he knows, by enjoying an ice-cold beer. Cage then confronted his Team Taz members and pushed them out of his way and walked out on them, causing a lot of tension in this faction.
AEW Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks def. Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston to retain

Let me just start by saying when you have the crowd chanting ‘FIGHT FOREVER’ you know you just delivered a five-star classic. The Young Bucks along with Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston left it all out there and they showed the world why AEW has the best tag-team division in wrestling.

This match had everything you could imagine and more, if anyone missed this match you need to go watch it immediately. During the match, we saw The Good Brothers attempt to get involved, but Frankie Kazarian who has a bone to pick with The Elite fought them into the back.
As for the finish of this match, it took The Bucks hitting multiple BTE Triggers one after the other in order to keep Mox down. If Daily’s Place had a roof, it would have been blown off during this match!
Jungle Boy wins the Casino Battle Royale

The Casino Battle Royal has become a tradition for Double or Nothing, a 21 man battle royal with a surprise joker entrant. Christian Cage was the first entrant in the match and it was a fairly average battle royal with a few nice moments, but the first big moment was the joker.
As the clock ticked down for the final entrant, we saw ‘Feel The Rush’ on the screen and out came Lio Rush for his AEW debut! He had a nice showing in the ring but unfortunately didn’t last long due to Matt Hardy throwing him out.

The final three in the match came down to Hardy, Cage and fan favourite Jungle Boy. Cage swerved Hardy and got him out to leave us with two. The crowd was hot for the ending and the entire stadium was singing Jungle Boy’s theme song.

Everyone was expecting Cage to win, but to the surprise of all Jungle Boy landed a crazy reversal and was able to get Cage over the top rope. Jungle Boy was able to shock the world, and as my co-host, Gavin said, “just like that Jungle Man is born!”
Cody Rhodes def. Anthony Ogogo

Cody Rhodes was embracing an American Dream gimmick for the night to face off with the former Olympian Anthony Ogogo. This match absolutely fell flat in my opinion, there was not much to it and it was very slow.
Cody was able to get the win by hitting a vertebreaker to get the pin, which was the wrong decision and hurt the build of Ogogo. Easily the worst match of the night so far.
TNT Championship Match: Miro def. Lance Archer to retain

Miro and Lance Archer was a battle of two behemoths for the TNT Title and it was exactly what you’d expect. Two powerhouses laying into each other, not holding back and giving it their all.
Archer had some help when Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts came out to attack Miro after Miro attacked him at the press conference. Roberts brought his snake with him, but that was not enough to stop Miro.
When it came down to it Miro locked in a brutal Game Over and made Archer pass out from the pain. Miro’s TNT Championship reign is off to a very hot start!
AEW Women’s Championship Match: Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. def. Hikaru Shida to become the NEW Women’s Champion

Dr. Britt Baker may not have been the champion, but she has been carrying the AEW Women’s division ever since her heel turn. Now here we are tonight and she is finally getting her shot at the AEW Women’s Championship against the year-long champion, Hikaru Shida.
In my opinion, both women put on a great showing, but I was just waiting the whole match for the finish. Both women really picked it up at the end until Baker was able to sneakily lock Shida into the Lockjaw and get her to frantically tap out.

Baker is finally where she belongs, after being a star for so long she is now our reigning AEW Women’s Champion! The first-ever female signing in AEW history is sitting right where she belongs.
Sting and Darby Allin def. Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page

First and foremost a message for Sting, YOU STILL GOT IT! Sting and Darby Allin teaming up against Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page blew my expectations out of the water.
I was very skeptical of Sting returning to the ring, but he really delivered, even landing a diving crossbody off of the poker chips. There was even the amazing moment with the “submission centipede” as Gavin called it, plus Sting’s WCW callbacks had us all excited.

To close the match Sting blocked a slingshot cutter from Sky and hit a Scorpion Death Drop to get the win. Sting and Darby have overcome their enemies and did it in a very convincing fashion.
AEW World Championship Match: Kenny Omega def. Orange Cassidy and PAC to retain

The AEW World Championship three-way really delivered on this show, and it did so in a very NJPW manner. The match started somewhat slow, but once it picked up it had everyone watching on the edge of their seat going insane!
The match had some crazy spots like the avalanche German suplex, PAC’s 450 splash or Omega hitting a terminator dive. However, Omega ended up utilizing the no-disqualification rule to his advantage, well Don Callis did.
Cassidy seemed like he was about to shock the world, hitting an Orange Punch on both of his opponents and then pinning PAC. The crowd was going insane and just as the referee was about to count three, Callis pulled him out of the ring.
That was not the first close call, eventually, the order was restored and PAC had Cassidy locked in the brutalizer. He was about to get the win, but Omega attacked the referee and then took cheating to new lengths.

Omega hit PAC over the skull with each of his championship titles, but he was then shocked with an Orange Punch from Cassidy. Then as Cassidy was going for the pin to the shock of all, Omega rolled him up and stole the win to retain. This match was amazing and Omega was able to get a crazy amount of heat, an amazing match, PAC is still protected and the first time OC has been pinned since Fyter Fest 2020; great stuff from AEW.
Mark Henry is All Elite

Tony Schiavone took to the ring to announce AEW’s new show Rampage debuting in August and he introduced the newly signed analyst and coach for AEW, Mark Henry. The World’s Strongest Man is officially All Elite!
Stadium Stampede: Inner Circle def. The Pinnacle

This was the climax in the long feud between Inner Circle and The Pinnacle, if Inner Circle lost they would disband forever. This was an amazing close to the show and the match allowed everyone to shine.

To highlight some of the amazing spots we had Santana & Ortiz beating up FTR in a nightclub with the help of Konan, Chris Jericho stapling MJF’s forehead, Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears battling in the chair room and Jake Hager chokeslamming Wardlow through a stack of wood.

However, this was really picked up when they entered Daily’s Place; it started with MJF and Jericho battling in the middle of the fans to everyone's delight. Guevara and Spears followed soon after and Guevara chased Spears down with a golf cart, something he knows much about.
The match came down to Guevara and Spears in the ring, where Guevara was able to showcase his talent to the world. It ended when Guevara stomped Spears into a chair and then hit the 630 splash to score the massive win for Inner Circle.

Inner Circle survives another day and it is all thanks to Sammy Guevara, this was such a feel-good moment to close an amazing pay-per-view. Double or Nothing went off the air with Inner Circle standing tall and the crowd loudly singing Judas, wrestling is alive and well!
