The Nov. 25 episode of All Elite Wrestling Dynamite was highlighted by a gripping segment between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley

The road to what All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is calling its biggest episode of Dynamite ever continued Wednesday night with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida and PAC in action.
TH2 defeated young upstarts, Top Flight, in a very good match. Elsewhere on the card Chirs Jericho and Jake Hager defeated SCU while elsewhere, Tully Blanchard reminded The Young Bucks to fear the revelation.
Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero also furthered their budding rivalry with Brandi Rhodes via a backstage promo. Miro and Kip Sabian also fought Best Friends in the parking lot after Orange Cassidy destroyed their brand new XBOX Series X.

Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale Returns next week

Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has been the rightful holder of the AEW Dynamite Diamond Ring since last fall, but that could change next week.
A Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale was announced for next week’s “Winter is Coming” edition of Dynamite during the opening match of this week’s show. It appears as though Miro, Sammy Guevara, Wardlow, Scorpio Sky and Orange Cassidy will be among the names vying for the prestigious prize.
The runner-up of last year’s inaugural Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page will also be in the match.

The more things change, the more they stay the same

Kenny Omega cut a fiery backstage promo on Jon Moxley Wednesday. He reminded the audience how at this time last year, he was nursing injuries following their unsanctioned match at Full Gear.
Omega went on to discuss the parallels between himself and Moxley, saying at this time last year he was the best wrestler in the world and all over magazines. Now, Moxley is the one regarded as the best wrestler in the world and his face is all over magazines.
The challenger continued by adding that ever since he won the World Title Eliminator Tournament at Full Gear, his name is being brought back up. Omega finished his promo by saying he was going to win.
Well, at least it appeared that way.
Omega returned to congratulate Moxley on the announcement that he and his wife are expecting their first child. He also said he really appreciated Moxley’s childhood story last week.
He finished his promo saying his dad could beat up Moxley’s dad.
Enter Powerhouse Hobbs

Will Hobbs made headlines last week when he joined Team Taz. However, this week anything related to Will Hobbs was gone and Powerhouse Hobbs emerged from the tunnel.
The name change has many fans confused. It seemed to be a common opinion that ‘Powerhouse’ Will Hobbs would be a better name choice.
However, Hobbs’ new gear was amazing. He was wearing a black and orange singlet, almost exactly like his mentor Taz used to wear.
Hobbs defeated Lee Johnson in a quick squash match. It was a cool little detail to see him defeat a member of the Nightmare Family.
In wrestling, it’s the little things that count and Hobbs making quick work of Johnson adds another wrinkle to the feud between Team Taz and the Nightmare Family.
Taz hijacks the show

The only thing Taz wants more than the FTW championship to become an officially recognized title in AEW, is for his guys to get some respect. Taz has been calling out AEW’s management for weeks and on Wednesday’s show, they had to pull the plug on his microphone.
He said he wasn’t leaving the ring until someone from management came out. Cody Rhodes answered Taz’s demand, which only made things worse.
Taz went on a verbal tirade and pushed Rhodes to the edge. This caused Rhodes to bring Taz’s son into things.
Rhodes asked if Taz loved his son Hook so much, why is he training with him? This set Taz off and he said Cody went too far.
Just as it looked like Taz was going to leave, he cinched in his signature Tazmission on Rhodes. This was a very welcomed, unexpected turn of events.
Omega vs Moxley set for biggest Dynamite ever

Last week Kenny Omega signed the contract for his championship match on the Dec. 2 Winter is Coming edition of AEW Dynamite. However, Jon Moxley was attacked backstage and was unable to sign the contract.
This week both men were set to appear for Moxley to sign the contract, but the champion jumped the challenger. Moxley beat down Omega and laid him out with a Paradigm Shift.
The AEW World Champion cut a riveting promo on his opponent and did an excellent job to build more hype for their upcoming bout. If you can, definitely go back and watch this promo.
There’s only one way for Kenny Omega to become AEW World Champion and it’s by pinning a man who hasn’t been pinned in 18 months. Only time will tell if ‘The Cleaner’ can clean house next week.
Women’s division delivers in a short, but sweet contest

One of the biggest gripes surrounding AEW’s women’s division is it’s underutilized and too predictable. For the past number of weeks, a women’s match has been placed in the second to last spot on the card.
Usually, the closer you are to the end of the show the better, but the women’s matches thrown in here often lack direction. However, this week was different.
A great video package played prior to the AEW Women’s World Championship match between the challenger Anna Jay and the champion Hikaru Shida. The video made both women seem as though they had a legitimate chance at winning the match.
Hikaru Shida also got an unsubtitled video promo, the champion’s English has come a long way.
The action was short-lived in the ring, but kept viewers on the edges of their seats. Anna Jay’s friend Tay Conti accidentally distracted the ref and the challenger used the distraction to obliterate Shida’s knee with a kendo stick.
Jay scored a series of near falls, which made it appear as though she had won the match. In the end Shida retained, but both wrestlers put on a great showing.
After the match, Abadon terrified everyone, including Shida and appeared to throw down a challenge for the title.
Wild main event ends the show

The Butcher and The Blade defeated PAC and Rey Fenix in Dynamite’s main event with a little help from Eddie Kingston.
Death Triangle and Eddie Kingston’s family are all tied up at 1-1 and it looks as though they’re headed for a rubber match. PAC vs Kingston is the likely contest, but just as the show ended an unlikely hero appeared.
‘The Murderhawk Monster’ Lance Archer came flying down to the ring to help out Death Triangle, who were being beaten down by Kingston and company. Archer and Kingston have an unsettled rivalry that dates back to the Casino Battle Royale at August’s All Out pay-per-view.
Lance Archer as a babyface is certainly an unexpected, but interesting development. It looks like Eddie Kingston will have his hands full when he’s eventually done with PAC.
