The March. 3 edition of AEW Dynamite served as a thrilling finale before the Revolution pay-per-view

(AEW)
The final All Elite Wrestling Dynamite before Sunday’s Revolution Pay-Per-View absolutely delivered. It was a show that didn’t let up from start to finish.
PAC and Rey Fenix were victorious in tag team action and Sting once again proved he’s still got it by beating down Brian Cage. We also found out Riho and Thunder Rosa will be teaming up to take on Reba and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D this Sunday on the Revolution Buy-In.
Elsewhere on the show, AEW’s largest signing ever Paul White (formerly Big Show in WWE) made his debut! He said that this Sunday at the pay-per-view he’d have the latest on AEW’s latest “hall of fame worthy signing.” Fans have already started to speculate with popular names such as Rob Van Dam, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar all being thrown out into the universe.
As always the Diffusing Dynamite team of Gavin Axelrod and Joseph Casciaro have you covered with all things AEW! In addition, make sure to check out our video recap of Revolution this Sunday on YouTube.
Shaq and Jade Cargill vs Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet
(AEW)
Celebrity wrestling matches are hit and miss, but this contest definitely delivered.
It was a fun sprint from start to finish with Jade and Shaq getting the win. The match showcased all four wrestlers, which made everyone look strong.
Red Velvet stole the show with her confidence and swagger. She also hit a pair of high spots.
The story of the night though was Shaq, who was driven through two tables by Cody Rhodes. Respect to the NBA legend for putting on a great showing.
It’s clear AEW has big plans for Jade Cargill and only time will tell if she has AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida in her sights.
Inner Circle Press Conference
(AEW)
One week after The Inner Circle attacked The Young Bucks’ dad, Papa Buck, they answered questions from the media in a press conference.
Chris Jericho and MJF did most of the talking, but it didn’t take long for The Bucks to make an appearance. The AEW World Tag Team Champions demolished MJF and Jericho on the microphone.
Matt Jackson told Jericho if it wasn’t for their dad pushing them to chase their dreams, there wouldn’t be an AEW and if the company didn’t exist, he’d be jerking the curtain at WWE’s Performance Center. Jackson also said their dad told them that sometimes in order to stand up for yourself, you have to get physical and he and his brother unleashed a Superkick Party on the pair.
All hell broke loose as Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Brandon Cutler made their way to the ring for retaliation. The segment ended with The Young Bucks hitting tandem dives on Santana and Ortiz who laid motionless on tables.
FTR and Jurassic Express steal the show
(AEW)
This was far and away the best match of the night. FTR vs Jurassic Express has been a tremendous feud and it further proves AEW is capable of creating meaningful television programs.
Tully Blanchard did not disappoint in his return to the ring. He even brought along J.J. Dillon, the old manager of The Four Horsemen.
FTR so fluid in the ring and their arsenal of tag team combinations were on full display in this one. Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt all shined in this match too.
It seems as though FTR might be one of those career-defining rivalries for Jurassic Express.
In the end, it was FTR who emerged victorious, with Blanchard scoring a rare pin on Luchasaurus. FTR also received a huge assist from an AEW cameraman, who later revealed himself to be Shawn Spears.
It looks like The Horsemen are getting ready to ride in AEW again, but they’re in need of a fourth man. The score between FTR and Jurassic Express is tied at one apiece and a rubber match would be epic.
Eliminator Tournament final
(AEW)
Nyla Rose and Japanese sensation Ryo Mizunami battled in the finals of the AEW Women’s Eliminator Tournament.
If this was your first impression of Mizunami, she loves to party. Her charisma and ring work make her a great addition to AEW’s women’s roster.
This match was a great contest and an even better end to the tournament. Mizunami emerged victorious in what should be considered an upset, by pinning Rose.
After the match, AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida presented the trophy to Mizunami. The two exchanged strikes, but held back on anything more before their clash this Sunday at Revolution.
Ten vs Caster
(AEW)
Dark Order’s Ten is going to want to scratch this one off his record.
Max Caster will be in the Face of The Revolution ladder match this Sunday, but he barely survived to get there. Matt Hardy had Jack Evans attack Ten while the referee was down, which gave Caster the chance to steal the win.
This just added more fuel to the fire in the ever-growing saga between Matt Hardy, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Dark Order.
Main event
(AEW)
Wednesday’s main event offered us a preview of the Big Money Match between Matt Hardy and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
Page and John Silver won the match, but it came with a cost. After Page pinned Marq Quen, Hardy beat him down with a microphone, saying he walked right into his trap.
Luckily, Dark Order led by -1 made the save and helped even the odds. The rest of the locker room began to pour out and before we knew it, all the participants in Sunday’s Casino Battle Royale were beating each other up in the ring.
If you thought Wednesday’s show was explosive, just wait until the Revolution Pay-Per-View this Sunday!
Next week: It’s the fallout from Revolution live next Wednesday!
