All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was back with another special edition of Dynamite, this week they were hosting Beach Break from Cleveland, Ohio. A loaded card was announced for the show and it was highlighted by a Lights Out Match between Orange Cassidy and Adam Cole.

Also, on the card was the ladder match to determine the Undisputed TNT Champion between the current Champion Cody Rhodes and Interim Champion Sammy Guevara. There was also a trios match with Santana, Ortiz and Chris Jericho against Daniel Garcia and 2point0.

As always the Diffusing Dynamite team of Joseph Casciaro and Gavin Axelrod have you covered for all things AEW!

Cody Rhodes and Sammy Guevara opened Beach Break with an instant classic to crown the Undisputed TNT Champion. Both men put it all on the line and left everything they had out in the ring.

The match had some crazy spots and specifically, the cutter from the ladder was insane! When it came down to it I was very surprised by the winner, it was Guevara coming out on top and being crowned the Undisputed TNT Champion!

Inner Circle in shambles

In the trios match between Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz against Daniel Garcia and 2point0 there were some issues shown in Inner Circle. Santana and Ortiz refused to tag in Jericho and wanted to compete for the whole match alone.

When it came down to it Jericho found a way to get involved from the outside hitting a Judas Effect from the apron and allowing Santana to get the win. Inner Circle may have won tonight, but they have some serious issues.

It was announced on Dynamite that in two weeks ‘Hangman’ Adam Page will be defending his AEW World Championship against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match!

Punk and MJF is ready to blow up

(Twitter via @AEW)

CM Punk was out on Dynamite with a message for MJF and he came out ready to fight with his tights on and fists taped up. He said last week he was able to secure a souvenir and he then showed he was wearing MJF’s scarf.

He said if MJF really wants his scarf back he will come out and fight him for it, but he said he knows MJF won’t accept and he’ll come out in a cheap suit. MJF then did make his way out in a suit, and he was not ready for a fight.

MJF said he would not waste one of the most historical matches of all time on Cleveland. He instead said that next week in Chicago, Punk’s hometown, it will finally be MJF vs CM Punk!

MJF said people only think they want that match because people will be very disappointed by the result when he defeats Punk. He said when Punk finally loses we will see the real Punk, the man that loses his smile and blames all his failures on everyone else.

He said Punk runs when the going gets tough and after he loses he will leave professional wrestling just like he did in 2005. However, Punk said he did not leave in 2005, he actually left in 2014 when he no-showed a WWE show and left the company.

He said no matter how much the fans love Punk, he will still turn his back on the fans and cry about it on a podcast. Punk then responded by saying the best thing he ever did was come back and it gifted MJF the opportunity at a brush with greatness.

Punk then said everyone knows MJF just can’t face him because he can’t ever beat him, and he said they are different because he has never lied to the fans. He says unlike MJF he always shows up and it was MJF who stood in line as a kid to get Punk’s autograph.

He said he never backs down and always gets back up and keeps fighting, MJF responded to that by saying why don’t we test that. MJF then had FTR, Shawn Spears and Wardlow attack Punk in the ring.

MJF watched with a smile as PInnacle dismantled Punk, and Punk just kept disrespecting him. MJF then ordered Wardlow to powerbomb Punk, and it seemed like Wardlow really did not want to. However, Wardlow listened to his boss and powerbombed Punk onto a chair.

MJF then sat cross-legged on top of Punk and said, the same place Punk’s journey started in Chicago will be the same place his journey ends!

Cassidy finally overcomes Cole

The main event of Beach Break was the Unsanctioned Lights Out Match between Adam Cole and Orange Cassidy. These two men have been feuding for well over a month now and the feud goes even to Best Friends against The Elite.

The match was very back and forth and we even saw The Elite attempting to get involved. However, every member of The Elite that tried to interfere was stopped by a different member of Best Friends.

The match concluded with Cassidy hugging Cole on top of the stage and pushing himself and Cole off sending them through the stage. Cassidy was able to get the pin from this move and finally defeat Cole!
