All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was back live with Dynamite for their second show ever on TBS. AEW had a loaded show announced, and we were hoping they would deliver after last week’s show being quite the letdown.
Announced for the show was CM Punk vs Wardlow, Dante Martin vs Powerhouse Hobbs, Hikaru Shida vs Serena Deeb and Matt Hardy vs Penta El Zero Miedo. Also, we would have Sammy Guevara defending the interim TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia and we would hear from AEW World Champion ‘Hangman’ Adam Page after his big win last week.
As always the Diffusing Dynamite team of Joseph Casciaro and Gavin Axelrod have you covered for all things AEW!
Best Friends are not done with The Elite

AEW kicked off with Adam Cole and ReDragon delivering a promo about their dominance since joining the company. However, they were interrupted by Cole’s good friends The Young Bucks.
The Bucks and ReDragon do not seem too fond of each other and even though they are all supposed to be friends it is not going too well. The Bucks were reminding Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly that this is their company and they are the longest reigning tag team champions in history.
Fish and O’Reilly did not seem to care and said not even The Bucks can stop them from capturing the tag team titles. Cole then said nothing is better than some friendly competition, but he was then interrupted by Best Friends.
All of Best Friends came to the ring led by Orange Cassidy and attacked Cole, The Bucks and ReDragon. As the brawl ensued Cassidy and Cole were left in the ring and just as Cole was going for a superkick, Kris Statlander stood in his way.
Out from the back came Cole’s girlfriend and AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker to layout Statlander. She then held Cassidy for Cole to superkick him right in the jaw.
Cole was then joined in the ring by The Bucks and ReDragon with Best Friends all laid out. Cole asked for the kisses on the cheeks, which The Bucks usually provide, but Baker stopped them and gave her man a kiss of her own. Could Baker be joining Cole’s new faction?
MJF asks for too much

CM Punk has been wanting a match with MJF for weeks and tonight he got a little closer by getting a match with Wardlow. However, Punk seemed to bite off more than he could chew with Wardog himself.
Wardlow manhandled Punk the entire match and hit over 10 powerbombs, but MJF would not let him go for the pin. MJF kept demanding more damage even making Wardlow powerbomb him through a table.
Even after the table, MJF still demanded Wardlow to go for another powerbomb. Wardlow was not too happy about that and started to argue with MJF, and then Punk managed to get a roll-up and steal a win while not even being able to stand.
MJF was livid with this result and began screaming in Wardlow’s face ‘you can never win the big one!” MJF was banging on Wardlow’s chest and then Wardlow grabbed the hand of MJF.
It seemed like Wardlow was about to destroy MJF, but Shawn Spears came running from the back to stop him. Wardlow then just decided to turn his back and walk out on MJF, it seems like Wardlow has reached his breaking point with MJF.
Page’s next challenger arrives

‘Hangman’ Adam Page was out on Dynamite to talk about his win over Bryan Danielson last week and to begin looking for a next challenger. He said the rankings are all reset and he needs someone to step up.
He was then interrupted by Dan Lambert and Page thought he was there to talk on behalf of Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page, but he was wrong. Lambert was actually there to complement Page but also question his whole gimmick.
He was saying how he is a terrible cowboy and he is bringing dishonour to every cowboy that was before him. Page then challenges Lambert to get in the ring and learn what cowboy shit really is.
As Lambert began backing off the music of the Murderhawk Monster Lance Archer hit, who we have not seen in five months. He ran into the ring after Lambert who he has had issues with in the past, but as he entered the ring he hit Page with a clean clothesline.
Archer then destroyed Page and even hit a Blackout onto a steel chair, positioning himself as the next challenger for the AEW World Championship!
Deeb goes too far

Tonight was supposed to be the rubber match between Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida after their long feud. However, Deeb did not wait for the match to begin attacking Shida during her entrance and slamming her injured knee into the steel steps.
Shida eventually got into the ring to start the match and Deeb continued viscously attacking the knee. Deeb even ripped the tape off Shida’s knee and locked her in a kneebar forcing the referee to stop the match and crowning Deeb the winner.
Deeb was not finished though and she then grabbed Shida’s kendo stick and repeatedly hit her knee until the kendo stick was broken. Deeb was then finally pulled away and forced to the back as she said, “I did what I said I would do!”
Kings of The Black Throne

On Dynamite, we saw Penta El Zero Miedo defeat Matt Hardy, but post-match Penta called out Malakai Black saying he would teach him respect. The lights then went out and Black was in the ring and he began to beat down Penta, but then The Varsity Blondes made the save to attack Black.
Julia Hart then made her way on the apron to stop Penta and The Blondes saying that Black has had enough. They then stopped the beat down and Black began to laugh, he then counted each man and the lights went out again.
When the lights came back on Brody King was standing in the middle of the ring and he cleaned house. He laid everyone out and then stood tall with Black, The Kings of The Black Throne have arrived in AEW!
The Bastard will be back

Tonight we heard from The Bastard PAC and he was speaking about his vision after being sprayed twice by Malakai Black. He said he feared he may never be able to see again, but his vision has actually never been clearer now. He said this all while holding a justice card, hinting that he is coming back to get revenge on Black!
AND STILL

The main event of Dynamite was Sammy Guevara defending the Interim TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia. The match was fantastic and after mayhem outside the ring involving 2point0, Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston, Sammy was able to secure the win.
Post-match 2point0 attempted to attack Guevara, but Kingston and Jericho made the save and they then wanted to go after each other once again. Seems like a match between the two is on the horizon.
