The Dec. 23 edition of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Dynamite was highlighted by an exciting match for the Tag Team Championship

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and to celebrate All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is throwing a holiday bash!
The second last episode of AEW Dynamite was action-packed once again. AEW World Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida was in action, The Acclaimed challenged The Young Bucks for the World Tag Team Championship and AEW World Champion Kenny Omega addressed the fans.
Elsewhere on the card, Sting was interviewed by Tony Schiavone, Dustin Rhodes took on Dark Order’s Evil Uno and PAC defeated The Butcher. We also saw Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford announce their wedding date with some help from “The Best Man” Miro.

Jake Hager makes his intentions clear

The Inner Circle’s Jake Hager and Wardlow haven’t been able to take their eyes off each other for months, literally.
On Wednesday’s Dynamite after Chris Jericho and MJF defeated Top Flight, Hager cut a promo asking where Wardlow was? He said while ‘Mr. Mayhem’ might be away for family reasons, The Inner Circle is a family too.
Hager went on to talk about how he and Wardlow don’t always see eye-to-eye and of course, he’s an asset to the group, but also is an asshole. He ended the segment by announcing that Tony Khan had sanctioned a match between Hager and Wardlow for next week’s episode of Dynamite.
Sting answers questions, Allin-Cage set for TNT Championship clash

Sting shocked the world three weeks ago on Dynamite when he made a surprise debut. This week he joined Tony Schiavone in the ring to answer more questions about his arrival in the promotion.
Just as he was about to explain his reasons for getting involved with Darby Allin, Sting was interrupted by Team Taz. The group came out and Ricky Starks told Sting he would get hurt if he played in this jungle.
After a verbal barrage from Taz, the lights went out and Darby Allin came to the aid of Sting. Taz decided to take the high road and agreed to leave, but before he could do so, he announced Brian Cage will challenge for the TNT Championship Jan. 6 on night two of AEW New Year’s Bash.
This will undoubtedly be one of Allin’s biggest tests yet in AEW.
Jurassic Express going full steam ahead, but do they Fear The Revelation?

We always talk about the cycle in AEW where some wrestlers are featured more than others and it appears it’s Jurassic Express’ time to star in a feature role.
The trio of Marko Stunt, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy made easy work of Dark Order’s Five, Ten and Colt Cabana on Dynamite. After the match, their victory promo was quickly interrupted by FTR’s manager Tully Blanchard.
FTR is on a quest and in order to get back to the top of the mountain, they have to go through Jurassic Express. We’ll see the two teams collide Jan. 6 at New Year’s Smash

Kenny Omega wasn’t pulling any punches when asked about his upcoming match against Rey Fenix on night one of AEW New Year’s Bash.
Omega went off on his opponent, talking about how he choked when trying to win the AEW World Tag Team titles, choked against him in AAA and choked in the Eliminator Tournament. Don Callis chimed in and said IMPACT! Wrestling wouldn’t take Fenix back because he’s injury-prone, but they could always call AAA and see if Konan will take him.
The AEW World Champion finished his verbal tirade by saying:
“When that phone rings, people like me, we answer the call. Fenix, guys like you trip over their own two feet and get hurt along the way. You get hurt, I get titles.”
AEW Beach Break coming Feb. 3

The wedding of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford is happening Feb. 3, but more importantly, so is AEW Beach Break!
This should be another great special edition of Dynamite to hold us over until the Revolution pay-per-view at the end of February. Expect to see at least two championship matches.
The Acclaimed come up short in a great main event

The Young Bucks are the greatest tag team in the world, but the young duo of Anthony Bowens and ‘Platinum’ Max Caster held their own against the champions.
Coming into the match, the duo better known as The Acclaimed were riding an eight-match win streak. Love them or hate them, these guys know how to get heat.
Every week they make their way to the ring and drop a diss track on their opponents, they can also go in the ring. However, this week wasn’t their time to shine.
After withstanding a flurry of offence from their opponents The Bucks were able to hit a BTE Trigger on Caster for the victory. The Acclaimed’s time will come, but tonight The Young Bucks stood tall.
Moxley returns next week

Jon Moxley returns to AEW next week for night one of New Year’s Bash and that spells disaster for Kenny Omega.
The last time we saw ‘The Purveyor of Violence’ he was pinned for the first time ever by Kenny Omega. After losing his title in cheap fashion to ‘The Cleaner,’ Moxley is certainly coming back for revenge.
However, unlike in other companies, the former champion is not entitled to an automatic rematch. So, if Moxley wants to get his hands on Omega again, he’ll have to climb his way up AEW’s singles ladder again in order to become the number one contender.
Thus, the road to Moxley-Omega III begins.
Next week: Wardlow takes on Jake Hager, Hikaru Shida defends against Abadon, Jon Moxley returns and Kenny Omega defends the AEW World Championship against Rey Fenix!
